2025 MIP Update: Local networks for walking and biking
The City of Bellevue is evaluating the maps of local network connections for people walking and bicycling. The purpose is to understand what local network connections are important for access to local destinations such as businesses, bus stops and parks.
The 2009 Pedestrian-Bicycle Plan mapped these local network connections, but things may have changed since then, so we want to know if these connections still are important to you.
Your input will help us determine what local network connections should be kept, which ones should be added, and if any should be eliminated or changed. Local network connections will be added to the arterial networks that are mapped in the Mobility Implementation Plan.
In this planning stage, the city is interested in getting input on the local network connections, rather than specific types of projects to create those connections. Project descriptions will be developed, and priorities will be established later in consultations with the neighborhoods.

Local walking and biking network map
The City of Bellevue is evaluating the local networks for people walking and bicycling. Local networks provide links between main roads and local destinations such as homes, businesses, schools, bus stops, and parks. Please take a moment to review and provide feedback on the proposed local networks. As you click and comment on individual local network connections, we hope to better understand:
Is this local network connection important to keep on the map? Or should it be removed or changed?
What important local network connections are missing? Should the city add these connections to the map?
If you have any questions about how to use this map, or would prefer to provide feedback in written format, please email the project manager, Kevin McDonald, at KMcDonald@bellevuewa.gov
