There is nothing like a crisis that brings out the character of our community. We are a caring community. We are a resilient community. Collectively we are taking actions to look out for ourselves and the most vulnerable in our community. We greatly appreciate all of the neighborly actions (big and small!) that help affirm our connections to one another - even as we follow guidance from Public Health Seattle & King County to stay apart.

This page is designed to help us to encourage one another and build up our community during this time.

Please share your stories on what gives you hope and encouragement as a Bellevue resident!

What has encouraged you during this time? How have you encouraged others?

It is the small and daily acts of kindness that can make all of the difference.   Together, we can inspire each other to look out for our families, friends and neighbors.   Please share what you have experienced that encouraged you during this time.   What have you done that has encouraged others?

We want to learn from each other.

Thank you for sharing your story with us.

Interlake's Green Team has helped provide comfort and purpose during this time! As a Green Team project, I installed some western screech owl nest boxes at Interlake, and I also helped run the garden.

First small step - Our employees have been volunteering time and utilizing our company's social media platforms to try and highlight a different business each week. We hope to enhance their consumer reach with carefully crafted messages, giving them a greater audience. If we can connect at least one new... Continue reading

What does it take the bring the world to a halt? It's scary that a global pandemic has to hit us in order for everyone to stop going through the cycle of work/school, eat, sleep and pause long enough to snap out of our routines. It's scary that it has to come to this for us to stop fighting each other and realize we're all just humans on this planet with the same goal. It's scary to realize that when it comes down to it, we are all just trying to survive and protect the people we love.

    As a... Continue reading
